Cheers to all of you beautiful people.
You did it. The weather wasn't very supportive, the pasta wasn't very fresh, sleep was barely enough, but no matter what, you came out victorious. Heads held high, and with a smile on your face, you all pushed through the pain to accomplish what you set out to do.
Memories? I'm sure you have plenty of those to last you for several years. When you speak in joyous tone about your experiences to your friends and colleagues, you will motivate another new bunch of runners. Some might even take part in The Relay.
Funds? You guys raised a lot of it. With the additional $5000 coming in from Intuit, you are second in the list of fund-raisers for the event this year. You give hope to people living on the waiting list for valuable organs. What a great accomplishment that is.
Support? The past weekend wouldn't have been possible but for the superb selfless support by Anjali and Sheshu. They dedicate their whole and soul to make the runners lives comfortable. The team is indebted to you. Loga and Sushant spent 4 odd hours in the cold to make sure that you get to accomplish what you did. Thanks a whole bunch to you guys.
Coaching? To convert many of you from walkers/slow-runners to the hard-core runners, the team owes it to Coach-D. What a selfless and classy guy! From planning training schedules to showing up at every long run to cheer and motivate the team, this event wouldn't have been possible without him.
Families? If not for the continued support from your families, you wouldn't have become the accomplished runners you are. Three cheers to them.
Congratulations team.
